How does Kent Storage work?
Kent Storage has a storage solution to suit any requirement and budget. More convenient than traditional Self Storage, Kent Storage is flexible and delivers storage to you. We have a variety of affordable storage options to suit any budget and timeframe.
How quickly can I get storage?
Our storage service operates from Monday through to Saturday. We are closed on public holidays and there will be limited service over Christmas and New Year’s. We recommend you book in advance to guarantee your delivery and pick-up times.
How much does your storage cost?
The cost of your storage space will depend on two key factors:
- How much you need to store?
- How long you require storage?
You can use our online self-storage quote tool to estimate the volume of your valuables.
Alternatively, we can arrange an in-home visit from one of our Storage consultants for a more accurate assessment.
Then select your desired delivery date and proceed with your booking, which will be confirmed with a call from one of our Storage Consultants.
Do you sell packing materials and cartons?
Yes, Kent Removals & Storage use the most advanced moving boxes. They are specially designed to protect your items from breakage during transit. Cartons are double thickness and made from environmentally friendly materials. Packing materials and cartons are available for purchase, speak to your Storage Consultant.
Do you provide furniture removalists?
Absolutely, our highly trained furniture removalists are some of the best in the business! They will deliver your storage to your door, professionally load your storage module (unless you prefer to load yourself). Note that this is only available for modules size 5 & 10 cubic meter.
Can I access my belongings whilst in store?
Yes, you can. Simply make an appointment with one of our Storage Consultants to visit our storage facility and access your goods or we can deliver all or part of your items to your home or business. Call us if you want to book an appointment to access your storage.
When is Kent open for access?
You can make an appointment to access your storage during our warehouse operational hours which is Monday-Friday between 7am – 4.30pm. Simply call us between Monday to Friday between 7am – 5pm to make a booking.
What if I want my items delivered interstate or overseas?
No problem, we can organise re-delivery anywhere in the world.
What is Included as part of storing with Kent Storage?
We make sure that your valuables are safe and secured by using padlocks, packing materials and moving pads with storing your items at our state of the art facilities.
Are my goods insured whilst in storage or transit?
Kent Storage has an excellent, easy to arrange and affordable Transit & Storage Insurance at an additional cost which protects you against certain risks. For further information speak to your Storage Consultant.
What items cannot be stored?
For safety reasons the following items cannot be stored:
- Flammable or hazardous goods
- Firearms, munitions or explosives
- Toxic, polluted or contaminated goods
- Expandable plastics (such as foam mattresses)
- Living plants or animals
- Food or perishable goods
- Illegal goods
- Waste
What areas do you service?
All metro areas within 50km from our depot.
For areas outside of Metro areas, we will gladly consider, call us on 13 55 31 to find out if we service your location.
When do I get charged?
Storage costs will be charged on the day of delivery of your storage.
The next payment which will be deducted from your credit card will occur on the first of each month in advance.
BILLING & PAYMENTS
What is my billing cycle?
You will receive your Storage Bill monthly and it will be charged on the 5th or next working day of each month.
Where can I find my customer number on my bill?
Your customer number can be found on the front page of your Kent Storage invoice on the top right hand side.
Direct Debit payment
With the ease and convenience of Direct Debit you will never miss paying your Kent Storage on time. Set up your Direct Debit today. Payments are taken from your nominated bank account on the due date. Fill out your Direct Debit form here.
Can I terminate my Direct Debit?
You may terminate your direct debit payment schedule at any time by giving written notice directly to us, or through your nominated Financial Institution. Notice given to us should be received by us at least 14 business days prior to the due date.
Fees and Charges
- We will notify you of any return unpaid transactions; and any applicable fee (plus GST) will be raised against your customer account.
- If your nominated bank account has insufficient funds to cover a payment, you are responsible for any cost we incur as a consequence of covering payment.
