Just as you insure your business, we recommend you insure your assets whilst in transit or in storage as in most cases this is not covered by your business insurance. With flexible cover and excess options, we have a cover to suit your individual requirements and budget.
Types of insurance
The first step is to decide on the type of insurance cover you require:
- Transit & Storage – insurance from collection of the goods, while your goods are in storage through to until they are safely delivered to your premises.
- Storage – insurance whilst your goods are in storage including fire, lightning, earthquake, storm, flood, explosion and more.

Level of cover
Next, decide on the level of cover:
- Kent Ultimate Cover
Ultimate cover protects against loss or damage to insured goods. This includes cover for pairs or sets, mechanical, electrical breakdown or atmospheric or climate conditions. It also includes up to 30 days of storage cover and 14 days of temporary accommodation costs.
- Kent Premium Cover
Premium cover provides cover against loss or damage to the insured goods, but is subject to limitation in claims for pairs and sets, excluding cover for mechanical and electrical breakdown or derangement and normal atmospheric or climatic conditions.
